As a photojournalist, I love event photography. The challenge is to find the connections, the looks of a-ha, the energy- it’s a hunt to find a series of moments that capture the day!
Last week I photographed the 50th anniversary of Together Today for Our Children Tomorrow document, which started the Yukon Land Claims. As a photographer who photographed many of the Yukon Land Claims signings, for either newspapers or the Yukon Government, this assignment took on very special significance. I hold my hands up to Yukon First Nations and honour all they have accomplished. This 7 day shoot was jam-packed with moments from beginning to end, here are just a few!
