I first met Cathie as a volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society almost 20 years ago and a special campaign they were working on. Since, then we have worked on several projects together including a cocktail recipe book with "Free Pour Jenny" and Miche Genest, photos for Up Here Business and countless events in the Yukon.I have also worked with Cathie for my own business needs including product photography, headshots and team photos. On the most recent shoot, my team members were nervous about being photographed, but Cathie made everyone feel relaxed with her humour, understanding and kindness. The shots were epic and totally on brand with our project. Her love of the land and deep respect for the people comes through in every shot.

Cathie is fantastic to work with from initial conversations, to planning, to execution, to final deliverables. When working events, she manages to both blend into the surroundings and be friendly and personable when interacting with others. Whether she's outputting stills or video, she produces quality and timely work. She is considerate and sensitive to cultures and environments with any project she takes on. She partners with others in the industry when projects require it and does so as a positive and cohesive team. It's always a pleasure to work with Cathie because you're getting someone who is invested in your project and is always striving for the best outcome to meet your goals.

I’ve been lucky enough to have worked with Cathie since 2005, when she photographed my first food column for Up Here Magazine. Since then, we’ve collaborated on close to 100 magazine stories, five books and countless projects, a collaboration that is at the foundation of my life as a food writer—I would not venture on a project without knowing Cathie was there. She’s a great photographer, that part is easy to see, but what isn’t so obvious is her creative genius on location. She’s brilliant at creating an atmosphere where everybody shines, everybody relaxes and has fun, an atmosphere that makes it possible for all of us to do our best work. She has a knack for finding the story you want to tell, and then finding the props, the angle, the lighting that will tell your story the clearest, cleanest, most beautiful way. Cathie is calm, funny, great at taking calculated risks and coming up with ideas that surprise you, make you see things you didn’t know were there. A shoot with Cathie is always an adventure, always an exploration, and I leave each project eager for the next one. (Sometimes I make one up just to be able to work with her again.) I can’t recommend working with Cathie strongly enough, she’s simply the best.

I've worked with Cathie Archbould for the past 20 years, both commissioning original photography and reaching into her deep inventory for a wide variety of publishing projects. Cathie's work is outstanding. You only need that one word to describe it. She's fun to work with, too. I recommend her—without reservations.

The images Cathie captures showcase the heart and feeling behind the event. The stories are conveyed through her images and we are greatful to be able to have those moments captured.

I have had the absolute pleasure of working with Cathie Archbould on many different projects from over the years, ranging from shoots for the Yukon Hospital Foundation, Festival of Trees and now with the Yukon First Nations Culture & Tourism Association (YFNCT). Not only does Cathie have extraordinary experience and talent in a multitude of different photography settings and environments, she has the ability to establish trusting and long-lasting relationships with her clients and the various communities that she as works in. Cathie captures meaningful and thoughtful moments in her photography as well as video. She makes her clients feel comfortable, safe and always manages to get an authentic smile or laugh. Cathie has been supportive of the work YFNCT does and has photographed many YFNCT events and members from over the years including the Adäka Cultural Festival, artists, tour operators and Cultural Centres. Thank you Cathie! We look forward to working with you on many more exciting projects in the future.

I hired Cathie to deliver a huge project in a very short period of time. The assignment: 100 very specific images of people in various occuptions within 30 days, no wiggle room in the budget, no slippage in the timeline, model releases organized and accounted for, and, perhaps most importantly, no hand-holding. I was busy with other elements of the project and needed a photographer who could make it happen and find the balance between keeping the project moving and capturing stunning images. Archbould Photography showed up, assessed the situation, presented me with a plan, asked good questions, made me think about things I hadn’t thought of, and got to work. Cathie delivered an excellent package of images, managed finding people in the occupations, booked them, and delivered creative images that were professional and interesting. She must have talked to 175 people in the course of chasing the images, and created her own buzz about the project in the course of her work. Thank you Cathie! Can’t wait to work with you again!

When seeking a highly professional, collaborative, and friendly presence to capture your next event, search no further than Archbould Photography. Cathie responded to our service request quickly and provided support in the development of our photography style needs and scheduling. At the end of each day, Archbould Photography provided a preview of the photos captured, allowing us to publish on our social media platforms in real time. Cathie connected with the event organizer at the beginning of each day to confirm the daily scope, a greatly appreciated approach as components of the event evolved. The final deliverable exceeded our expectations as Archbould Photography provided the photos quickly and seamlessly. We will be sure to contact Archbould Photography for our next Yukon-based event.
