With the final days of clean white snow in the Whitehorse area I headed out to capture fun and inviting images of spring in the Yukon.
Six models, two handlers and caribou smokies for a campfire cookout and a snow machine and skimmer overflowing with skis, snowshoes and fishing gear.

When backgrounds are less than perfect, I like to either throw in some
colour to take away from the florescent lighting and or blur them in
post processing. I feel it simplifies the whole image allowing the viewer
to concentrate on what you want them to be looking at!

DOG TIRED - Yukon dog sled musher, Frank Turner, will not be competing in this year's 2006 International Yukon Quest Dog Sled Race. Turner is the only musher who up until now has competed in every one of the 20 plus races which run 1000 miles from Fairbanks Ak, to Whitehorse, Yukon.
